Not having my book in front of me I believe it only specifies two-weapon fighting as melee/light. But I don't see anything overpowered in allowing brawl checks as two-weapons either (other than fighting one handed looks stupid
). Is there any mechanical hole I'm missing here that someone will drive a truck through?
RAW question - Trandoshan Two-weapon Brawl check with claws
I was already considering brawl to include both hands. otherwise yes it would look stupid.
You aren't really fighting with only one hand. I would assume that the injury dealt would be applied through all sorts of means - elbows, fists, feet, headbutts, tail whips. And there would be a flurry of action and maneuvers that would be represented by every die roll.
While I can't think of a reason not to, I can't help but wonder if it is already incorporated into the injury dealt which is why it was left out.
I think it's within the limits of the rules. Two light, melee and light, two melee, brawl or whatever combo you want. Just add a purple die and you're good to go. It seems fairly balanced with the extra difficulty and having to spend advantages for the second attack.
Yeah, two-weapon fighting with Brawl should be fine I think.
I already had a player using brass knuckles in both hands. Trandoshan claws wouldn't really be much different.
Plus, since less difficulty means bigger hits, not "dual wielding" while attacking will result in more damage in one hit, while "dual wielding" will be more like a flurry of smaller hits. I was debating this when I had a bunch of unarmed dudes breaking out of prison. On this same note, I also had this idea of a wookiee using a sword in one hand and his fist in the other. I feel like it would just use the same rules as using a sword and pistol. You would just use your worst stats for the roll and go nuts. I like this idea a lot personally.
