Edited by TacticalBastrdAnother well done episode! I am really excited to hear more about the EotE RPG mechanics. Will you be discussing how the dice work and how the players/GM actually use the Obligation and other random results that can impact the story?
The X-Wing segment was fun to listen to. I was at the Regional with Erik so it was great to hear about stories that. I'm also a member of the group that gets together on Thursdays when our wives are busy, so that was a cool shout out.
Keep 'em coming!
We are recording again this Friday, and plan on talking about the EotE mechanics, and all sorts of other things revolving around the RPG.
do you guys have a Facebook page?
If you guys ever want to do a "play-by-play" type podcast for a game or two of x-wing, let me know, I will be more than willing to be a participant.

Tactical, for a future episode regarding EotE, is there any chance that you can talk about how the custom dice mechanic works in relation to the use of standard numbers. From what I can tell, they have a system that not only determines success or failure, but quantifies the extent of that same success or failure.
I've been playing Dark Heresy and Deathwatch for some time now and am getting Only War up to speed. These systems use a straight percentage result and quantify your level of success or failure by every 10 of your dice result.
I definitely have no doubts that they have the feel of the Star Wars universe, since 20+ years of playing 40k has shown me that they've done their homework in the games from that background. The concern I have is that the large variety of custom dice will make it hard for new players, not just to the game, but role playing in general. I wouldn't mind picking this up, but if it's overly complicated, for others, I'd just as soon stick to the older Saga Edition.
Thanks, look forward to your answer. Both podcasts have been great so far!
Aridia, we are recording tonight and I plan on going in depth about it!
Awesome, can't wait to hear it! Thanks.
