I proudly present: every Talent Tree in pdf form!

By DylanRPG, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

I wouldn't add a registered trademark symbol on a document like this. Another symbol would be fine. OP you retconned changes from the core book to the last beta update? Can you detail those because for all we know the rollback on those changes could be intentional.

There are only two instances I can think of where I purposely used the latest Beta version.

The first instance i am very confident of. It occurs in the Move Power Tree, in the first Control upgrade. In the Core Rulebook, it says that when you are moving objects fast, they deal damage equal to their silhouette multiplied by 10. The problem with this, of course, is that objects with a silhouette of 0 will deal 0 damage (0 * 10 = 0). So I noticed in the latest Beta notes that this was fixed to say that objects with a silhouette of 0 deal 5 damage, and objects of silhouette 1 or above deal damage equal to their silhouette multiplied by 10 as normal.

The really opened the gates for me as I realized there must be changes that got accidentally left out in the Talent Trees.

The second instance occurs in the Scholar Talent Tree. In the Core Rulebook on the top row to the far right is the Brace Talent, and on the bottom row to the far right is the Toughened Talent. In the latest Beta notes, these two Talents have switched places. This makes sense to me because I don't often see "Toughened" that far down the Talent Tree, especially when it only occurs once in the tree. I could be wrong on this one, but the Beta version makes more sense to me here.

Just checked Core Rulebook, and under the description for Control Upgrade (Pg. 284 under the power tree) it specifically states halfway down the paragraph "Silhouette 0 objects deal 5 damage, while other objects deal damage equal to 10 times their silhouette."

Also, in case you haven't noticed it while updating the Move tree previously, you have the description text for Influence in the Move Basic Power box.

Thanks for getting these updates done so quickly!

I'm glad it's in the description, but the tree itself doesn't reflect this.

Anyway, thanks for the correction on the Move tree. I originally did the Force Power stuff a while ago, and I evidently didn't proof read them enough. It has been fixed. :)

Thanks for this, it looks very useful.

Thanks!

Nice!

I uploaded a new revision today. The Force Power trees should look better.

In the force sensitive exile tree, isn't it Quick Draw instead of Convincing Demeanor ?

On the forth row second line.

Right you are. It has been corrected.

Also added a table of contents.

Doing a great job. Keep it up.

I know it would be a lot of work and I am not sure exactly how you would do it, but I saw someone put a mark near the talents that are considered to be Ranked talents. If you want to go even more in depth, you might consider doing something like that!

Youre the second person to request this. I have started to implement this, just haven't finished yet. If I had thought ahead I would have been less work for myself.

Every talent that is ranked says "per rank" in it's description, but I do see the benefit of being able to tell at a glance. And it's not hard to do, just a little time intensive.

I will certainly do it! Thank you for making the request, It's in the works : )

We've used your Slicer, Politico and Outlaw tech talent tree in our game yesterday, thanks for the hard work.

However, there is an error in the Outlaw tech, the Jury-Riged box has the wrong description.

Also, when printing in black and white, the colors are undistinguishable, I know it's a lot of work, but if you can improve it, it would be great! ;)

Glad you got use out of the trees!

I'm more than happy when I hear about an error (in a way), because I want these trees to be without flaws.

I will fix this later this evening.

As for the colors, I will set my document to black and white and see which colors are easier to distinguish. So yeah, I can do this :)

Just wanted to add another thanks. With out a PDF of the rules or any electronic tools these sheets are invaluable.

Having that at-a-glance mark for Ranked things would be really useful for newer players that haven't scoured the rulebook from start to finish though :P .

Regardless these are amazing and I'm probably going to be using them all the time now! Thanks a million!

I haven't implemented more planned updates yet, but I did want to direct everyone's attention to the Compiled Resources topic. In it Callidon recently posted a link to his own Talent Trees, which do include the must asked for ranked feature.

They are excellent trees and I recommend anyone interested checking them out as an alternative.

He should put yours up there too! Give everyone the choice as to which ones they wanna use :D

My Talent Trees are indeed featured in the Resources list :)

Gonna have a big update to this in the next couple of days (hopefully).

My players will be using this in our upcoming game. I'm really glad you got them out. Makes it easier on us. Copying the page just didn't look very nice.

Thanks for all the hard work.

I wanted to send my gratitude to everyone for their very kind words. Makes me feel good :)

Also, wanted to let everyone know, because I haven't fixed it yet and it hasn't been mentioned, that the Career/Specialization skills listed for the Trader appear to be a bit off in that Lore is not included. I'm adding this to the to-do list.

I stand corrected! I just saw that. Either way, these ones are the bomb diggity. Amazing work. This is going to expedite character creation for newbies 150% and I love it.

The sheets sound great - can you repair the link so they can be downloaded?

I messaged him about the broken links on Dec. 14 and haven't gotten a reply. If you're interested in his talent trees, message me and I will send you a copy when I'm at work.

For now, you might try Doc's talent trees . They don't have each career's career skills, but they include the three specializations from Enter the Unknown.

Of course what someone needs to do is put together a completely comprehensive one that covers the new ones from AoR too. . . .

Thanks a lot for all the work! :D

PS: Need some heart containers... Link is broken... XD

I am getting "file does not exist" messages.

I am eager to see this work.

MAKE WITH THE FIXING!
