Hi Gang. I have a player who was playing a Clone in SWSE and would like to continue the character in our new EotE campaign. I'd read the Mandalorian thread and considered using just base humans as Clone stats. Opinions? Thoughts? Any help would be appreciated.
Clones and EotE
Assuming the donor was Human, I say sure...go for it.
Yeah, just use base Human stats. It's what I did when playing an aging Republic Clone Trooper in an EotE campaign. Probably should pick a combat-focused career (Hired Gun or Bounty Hunter) and put a focus on physical Characteristics over mental ones.
Cool. That's what I figured. Thanks, gang! ![]()
I'd say Mercenary Soldier or Bodyguard, depending on what they did. Though some had more tech-focused jobs, all of them were soldiers first typically, so that would just come from further specializations later.
On a side note, love this idea. I'm going to have a renegade clone ARC trooper and his Jedi friend as the antagonists/possible allies in my one shot this Thursday!
Yeah, seems like the best way is to simply make them Human, but maybe put them in the older age bracket (if he/she is a clone made via mass production, like the clone troopers). As I understand it, clones that have more time spent on them don't suffer from such an accelerated aging process.
I'm currently playing a Clone Trooper and we just went with a straight up Human (Merc Soldier/Politico), with a slight modification that the GM and I worked out together: any time that my character is in the presence of someone who's either a known Jedi or that my character has reason to believe is a Jedi, I have to roll Discipline if I don't want to immediately engage in hostilities.
As a side note, having the same face as a bajillion other dudes in the galaxy has a lot of ways to come back to haunt you...
