Do people think its likely FFG will release any more "deluxe expansions"?

Hey all!

So i was wondering what people thought about the possibility of FFG releasing anything other than chapter packs for aGoT: card game in the future?

I ask as someone who provides all the cards for a gaming group of about 8 people and love the core set and deluxe expansions but dislikes the chapter packs because they aren't (in my opinion) an efficient way to add new decks with equal chance of victory.

I have bought 2 core sets and all 6 deluxe expansions to create 14 decks but am concerned that in future i wont be able to add to it.

What do others think?

FFG hasn't let us know either way, so anything you hear is just speculation.

I would love more deluxe expansions, but even if they do announce something we'll be waiting at least three months after the announcement until it's actually released. So, nothing soon.

In light of some of their games going deluxe only, it may be that they decided Chapter Packs are the most econmoical for this game, since they seemingly do well? I, for one, would welcome another deluxe expansion. And who knows, it may be that for Netrunner and/or Star Wars they may also see a drop-off in deluxe boxes after they get faction boxes (what Netrunner seems to be doing, akin to Thrones) and, in Star Wars' case, their multiplayer box.

That will be very telling.

I'd personally love another deluxe box. So many cards at once is such an awesome feeling.

Since even if FFG does announce another Deluxe box, it will take awhile before you can buy it, you may want to consider purchasing chapter packs but an entire cycle at once. You can treat the full cycle as a deluxe box. You get 6 packs all around a single theme. With the entire cycle at once, it should be somewhat balanced for all the houses. My recommendation would be to start with the King's Landing cycle since it gives all the houses some good shadows cards since it's where the mechanic was introduced.

As a new/casual player of both Game of Thrones and Call of Cthulhu, I am always reading that one of the first purchases players should make is a second core set. What I would really love to see is FFG release sets that are simply two additional copies of the core set cards without the game boards, tokens, etc. I wouldn't care if it was in a plain white box, since I already own the core sets. I would gladly pay $40 for a core expansion like this, and since the cards already exist, it shouldn't be too hard to put together.

I also have no clue how many of the LCG cards are reprinted from the CCG days of these games, but maybe a deluxe "best of" the old CCG cards that would play well with the currently released LCG cards.

A WIldling/Neutral Expansion would be interesting. :) ;) :P    :( <_<
