Character with Immune to character abilities

By Khalpongo, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

@Kennon - I wish they had just made the errata "non-immunity keyword". I think this was the intended convention and is how it will see actual play. The Jaqen clarification just makes me confused and I'm glad some people agree that the clarification doesn't quite hit the mark.

Thanks Karma and Kennon.

For the record, I really don't like the jaqen ruling.

Jaqen should have had the text: Remove 1 power from house to give him: Renown, Stealth, Blah, Blah (Choose 1)...

Problem solved ;)

I hate to drag this up again and burst your bubble, but I just got this email back from Damon:

Question:

Do Banner Bearer and Deceit transfer "qualified keywords" such as "no attachments" and "immune to X"? Thank you.

Answer:

They transfer the keyword. They do not transfer qualifiers.

So, basically, unless we get a recant (which has happened from Damon before), then the introduction of Jaqen (and his subsequent FAQ clarification) has completely changed how Deceit and Banner Bearer have been used for months now (with no clarification when they were introduced).

Seems like revisionism to me.

This game gets more and more complicated as time goes on.

Seems like revisionism to me.

Seems like shite to me....

Somebody ask somebody else at ffg :)

I mean, I don't like at all that it was introduced, but now that the Jaqen ruling is there in the FAQ, that's the only way that I see to interpret what's there.
