Dear Gamesmasters and Fantasy Flight Writers;

I will try my best not to spoil anything; but I have a question about the campaign.

I have just started running Ark of Lost Souls (AoLS) and have decided that Watch Captain Esteban De Dominova of the Crimson Fists be in charge of my players (Kill Team Broadsword) for the mission. I introduced my Kill Team to him tonight and they have boarded The Argent Crusader.

I have been running the campaign as written to see how my players enjoy it.

But I believe I will have to change the Watch Captain's chapter.

Because of what happens on Page 24 of AoLS in the 'Aftermath' section De Dominova is forced to go into Sus-an Stasis. It is rather an important plot point in the adventure.

My players pointed out the Crimson Fists are from Imperial Fist gene-seed and so lack the Sus-an Membrane to do this.

I have now checked the books and I found on Page 59 of 'Honour The Chapter' in the Crimson Fists Chapter section that they are quite correct that the Crimson Fists cannot go into Sus-an Sleep because of their lack of the gene-seed from their parent chapter.

I am going to have retcon this swiftly and I feel a little foolish for not realising this myself.

This seems an oversight; this leads me to two questions.

Firstly *is* this an oversight or am I missing something important?

Secondly what chapter do you think my new De Dominova should be from, which chapter with the same kind of mindset as the Crimson Fists would have the Sus-An Membrane?

Was gonna post the same thing, but my GM beat me to it . It's also in the side bar on p.61 in Honour the Chapter, and in the sidebar on p.67 of Rites of Battle, which references p.44-51 (sidebar on p.46 is the relevant bit) in RoB. It came up because us players were giggling that De Dominova would be left stag (sentry) on his own, as we could enter suspended animation, and he can't.

I just changed him into an Astral Claw.
