Introducing Your Characters: PCs and NPCs

By Shakespearian_Soldier, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Hey folks,

I was wondering, both to use as a communal resource (with permission) and as a means of showing off the diversity of the system, whether anyone'd be interested in posting up the stats and summaries of the various characters they've created for EotE - both PCs and NPCs.

In time (ie. when my rulebook gets here), I plan on creating a young nomadic woman called Shaeyl. She's the last surviving Starfire (her most famous ancestor was Zander Starfire, a character I created and ran during a seven-year running online WEG campaign set before/during the Mandalorian and Jedi Civil War of the KOTOR period), and will probably begin as a character similar in personality to Ellie (of The Last of Us fame) - but flourish into something more powerful as she learns about her lineage and comes into her Force sensitivity.

I'm very much a fan of the "develop and evolve" character progression, meaning that she may begin as naive and a little lacking in maturity, but the harshness of the Outer Rim - and of the oppression of the Empire - will no doubt force a change in her that will be remarkable.

With this in mind I suggest making her a young adult like mid teens. This will help develope her as he other two core books come out and she can age along with the stories told and become the person she is meant to be.

Well, here is my character.

Name: Unknown. (My character has yet to give his name to the group)

Race: Human (Clone)

Career: Gadgeteer Bounty Hunter

Brawn: 2 Agility: 4 Intellect: 2 Cunning: 2 Willpower: 3 Presence: 2

Gear: Blaster Pistol and a set of Binders.

Unknown to the group (except for the GM), my character was a clone born as a rebel army by the Kamino government to combat the Empire. But, by the time the Battle of Kamino (Empire era) commenced, he was but a child. No combat training. Barely holding a rifle in the range.

He has a obsessive obligation to find the cure for his rapid growth, and his motivation is his fellow comrades (the other clones that escaped with him).

What the group does know is that my character has brown eyes, black hair, and I stand about 5'10. I'm a bit of a hard ass, and not always putting my hand out to help everyone. Also, the ship is under my command. Two of it's members have bounties on their heads, and the two of them are also the ships mechanic and medical personnel. We've worked a deal to have them work under my command, and in trade I do not collect on their bounties. And one of them has a high price on his head. Accidentally killed a Hutt while upgrading his party barge. The doctor has Imperial ties and does not want to go back there, nor discuss it.

In the end though, along with their big price tags come the added benefits on having a mechanic and a doctor. My line of work puts me looking down the barrel on almost a daily basis. One of these days, I may be on the losing side and need medical attention. So who knows.

That's the idea. :-) The plan's to make her around 14 at the time of the game's beginning.
