I would like to organize an X-wing Tournament In the Salt Lake Area. It would be on a Saturday. I am thinking July 27th. The Location would likely be Mind Games in West Valley, but if people would prefer we could probably move it to Gajo (though I haven't talked to the store owners, yet)

We would use the standard FFG tournament rules.

And we would have one of two options:

Option 1: Free Play. There would be no sign up fee. You wouldn't even need to bring your own ships. There would probably be enough people there that you might be able to borrow some of their ships.

With no fee their wouldn't really be any prizes. I might be able to round up some nominal prizes, but no store credit.

Option 2: Fee Play. It would $5 or $10 and all money would go to prizes. Depending on How many people sing up would determine the prize amounts. Something like 50% first prize, 30% second prize, 20% third Prize.

Would any one be interested in this. How many people do you think we could get.

I am very interested. I haven't found a group to play with yet, so can't give any feedback for potential showing size.

What type of format would you prefer?

-just for fun free with no prizes

or

-pay in and get prizes

I am up for either format, leaning a bit towards the buy-in.

It looks like we have a few people interested in at least playing some games. This really is one of the best (if not THE best) miniture games out there.

I and a friend are usually at Mind Games in West Valley on Tuesdays. Maybe we should just start am informal X-wing evening on Tuesdays at Mind Games.

longthyme, I could be at Game Night Games this coming Wednesday evening (July 24th) for a game or two.

My family and I are going to do some Pioneer Day activities on the 24th, but any other Wednesday would work.

I can do a Tues/Wed night game sometimes but Game Night Games is a bit further than I'd want to go. I know the Game Haven in West Jordan would let us play (they hosted the regional tournament a couple months ago).

Let's do Game Haven in West Jordan at 7. It is in the shopping mall next to the Asian market on the corner of Redwood and 90th. I'll bring all my ships - I have plenty of choices. I also printed out the wave 3 upgrade cards that FFG has previewed so we can check those out if anybody is interested.
