Anyone know if this is meeting FFG initital sales expectations? Any game store owners on this forum to give us some feedback? I would hate to think Age of Rebellion doesnt see light of day due to poor sales.
Initial Sales
Doubt we'll ever get any hard numbers. Best way to tell will be how many printings the book goes through.
Generally sales run from a Tuesday to a Monday in the US. I'd say give it a few more days or another week and see if it shows up somewhere like this:

There may be better sites but this is what I got from a quick google.
Just anecdotes from here. I snapped up the last rulebook at one store on Thursday last week. The other bigger store that I went to today was completely sold out. I decided to pick up the beginner game for some of the resources and the extra set of dice that comes with it. If Calgary is any indication, sales are pretty brisk.
It does seem to be selling out at a lot of places. Coolstuffinc has sold out at least once for a day or 2, and they seemed to get a lot of copies in of it.
A few big shops I know in the UK sold out within the week too, so it can't be doing too badly.
It's Star Wars :-)
People will buy the game who never have an intent to use it for roleplaying...just because the art and layout are awesome. The game being frakkin great will just carry it in the long term :-)
It's in the top 100 in Amazon's toys and games. CoolStuffInc sold out once and had to restock. That can't be a bad sign.
Coolstuff actually sold out twice (once during pre-orders, and then very quickly after), and Miniature Market sold out for a couple days as well.
Star Wars itself definitely doesn't mean super success, as the Star Wars LCG isn't coming close to Netrunner from what I can tell.
It really helps that EotE shows really well, and has been getting great publicity.
one of the reasons i bought two books one for me one for the one guy who ends up being unable to get a book for when they send it to reprinters.
