How many of each upgrade card should I keep in my set?

By hail545, in X-Wing

I am trying to slim down the amount of upgrade cards I have to care with me in my set, I'm looking for any help as to how many of each upgrades I should have in my set, so that I can remove the extras for easier transport since I am limited on storage to carry items.

Depends on how big your fleet useally is and which ones you most often use. Modifications I tend to keep 4 for most used (unless theres a list for like 7), then 2 -1.

I think it depends entirely on what you usually fly, and what you expect you might fly. I don't tend to fly Swarm Tactics chains, so I only carry 2. If you do, you might need all 6 that you own. I use R2 Astromechs a lot, so carry all three - the third of which I was gifted after asking to borrow one at a tournament, because the guy I asks never plays them at all.

I carry one of each named card, Luke, R2-D2, etc. I then have between 2-4 of missile/Torps, 2-3 Droids, 2-3 Elite Pilot, 1-2 Crew, 2-3 Mods, 4 Turrets (Ion and Blaster when released), 3 connons, and 2 of each bomb. I have all my upgrades with me though for new players to use, but they are in my binder with me other named Pilots and excess unnamed.

Thanks for the great info and examples. I just got my large set last week, and have only been playing for a few months, so I really had no clue where to begin. I guess I will just start figuring out what cards I use most. Although I guess it is a good idea to carry the others for new players

I carry all of them that I have. However I begin to organize them in a three ring binder using collectible card sheets. So they are very easy to access and transport.
