So I bought the core rulebook and I love it! Something that seems odd, and i'm sure i'm just missing it, is ship damage compared to character weapons. Looking at a Lasor Cannon like you would see on a tie fighter does about 6 damage, while a bowcaster does 10. is there a conversion in the book that i am missing? I would love any insight this group could give.
Weapon Damage
See the sidebar on page 224, Starships, Vehicles, and Scale. Basically, every 1 point of planetary-scale damage is 10 points of personal-scale damage.
So the TIE's laser cannon does 6 damage (plus success symbols) of hull trauma to other starships and ground vehicles. However, it does 60 point of wound damage to characters!

Well... That would certainly hurt a bit.

Your armor can't repel firepower of that magnitude.
