Question on core book

By Tassedar, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Im aware that the book expands on the desciptions on rules but at the moment are they many or any changes to the rules from the beta errata? Im still going to read the book cover to cover but if theres anything i need to pay attention for my current group that would adversly affect their characters.

From preliminary scouting reports that I've seen, it doesn't seem to have changed much/at all from the latest Beta updates. That being said, I'm willing to bet there will be more weapons/armor/vehicles/adversaries/etc in it. I'm guessing that, as long as you were using the most recent beta updates, the changes your players will actually have to make will be minimal/nonexistent.

hopeing that is the case we have had a decent hold on rules and of there are no changes ill be good to keep the perusing of the book to a simple read and carry on.

Jury-rigged is adjusted a bit from the beta, but not in a bad way. Something to peek at if you have a PC that has that talent.

Does anybody knows if they kept the "adversary" talent in the final cut? It became during the beta stage a pet peeve of mine.

Considering most people are reporting that the Beta changes are still in effect in the final version, I believe they are.

Adversary is definitely in the book. Still NPC only. :P

I personally like Adversary. It cuts down on book-keeping for GMs and lets us make challenges harder without figuring out what levels of Defensive Stance or whatever each character has.

And, if you disagree, feel free to ditch each NPC's Adversary rank and replace it with Defensive Stances or Dodge ranks instead. No one is going to stop you!
