Well I need some ideas on how to run it

The characters I've considered so far are

*Zi Mei* 7/20 (D, E, F)

**Lilith** 7/20 (D, E, G)

*Gen* 7/24 (E, O, G)

*Kim* 6/26 (E, C, G)

I would try using sakura and playing it off of all. Reason being she can do it fairly easily with with her ability and you can use lord of the makai and reppa. It would make for a fairly painful turn.

It'd have to be an All/Void hybrid if you chose to run those pieces and SB in Sakura... but that shouldn't be too difficult since Sakura can just play whatever she wants out of her discard.

Why not Promo Zangief...

Each Spinning Beat will be a high 3 for 16 dmg...

Hmm I forgot about the stupid starter deck Sakura. I hate her. But I'm not really pressed on making the deck yet. I just have two Spinning Beats thats all. I'd like to see the new sets first before I do anything. I was just trying to see if there was some magical deck idea that I could try out at regionals on the 4th. If not I'm just gonna play Chun-Li

There are no magic decks. Good decks take work and alot of playtesting. Although sometimes you build a deck in a trunk before nationals and do really well.

But anyways, judging from the 2 previews we just got, Zi Mei off of Fire might be a safe bet. X fire attack --> Midnight Launcher --> Spinning Beat, all while pumping damage with Zi Mei and committing them with her as well... White Magic can get you the momentum for Spinning Beat easily, especially if you drop a couple t1.

I remember hearing about that randomly made Cody deck, wish I was there just for the fun and competition.

but I want to say my opinion of the list of characters up there and I would use Lilith promo just to tap out the opponent and mill down their deck of their better checks and combo in the Symbol-Only ability. but I have seen really mean Kim decks using spinning beat coming into third/fourth turn just using it as a severe beatdown (dern you second E).

But what's the point of trying to mill them using Spinning Beat??? You'd end up killing them before you mill them out... Zi Mei can commit them too and still make use of the Death E while beating their face in (pun not intended).

that's just what I would do, and there's not much coming from me in that statement. I never used Zi Mei and of course never liked facing any of them... silly E and R.

Ok I just wanna say I've already thought of everything you guys have already mentioned, these are just the dilemas I've come across

Zi Mei, there isn't much card draw or a way for me to pull back my spinning beat from the discard, I've considered doing a fire evil deck for it though

Lilith shes a smaller character, and I havent' decided if i wanna try pure good or do a good/evil splash. not a lot of cards have good and evil on them. but then again white magic and mystertious stance are always fun.

Kim ok yeah it's a serious beatdown, but bro you do now the attacks have to be non throws, and mutliples do not carry over the keyword kick right. I just see his first enhance comming into play and not his second. I see something more like wicked chew, vulcan punch, or side harp, then spinning beat. Instead of kick, kick, spinning beat

But personally I like Zi Mei, I'm just gonna put this on hold for a bit and wait for the new sets. There's bound to something useful in there.

I'm using promo blanka off of fire. Has death too btw. Lots of delicious momentum to go off, even do melancholy multiple 1 into spinning beat multiple 2

If I only had one. I like Yang too, but that midnight launcher attack looks fun.

if this deck is going to be built after the new release, go with fire zi mei. if not, try it off good with frogase. she works really well with multiples.

what he said. The deck loves promo blanka if you can get your hands on one. Since you're just waiting until the next set (which judging from Midnight Launcher could be pretty sweet) you could definately get something going.

Either way, if set 12 follows set 11's pattern of all of a character's support sharing all 3 symbols with the character then you're looking at 34 non-character cards with Fire on them (minimum)... and who knows, you may decide you like one of the set 12 characters better than your current options.
