Got my books!

By Shamrock, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Like others have said, this book is huge. A few years of gaming with this system, and we're all gonna have forearms like Popeye the Sailor Man...

You mean Popeye didn't get that way by injecting watermelons?

No, I think he just ran a campaign for a couple of Force-sensitive exiles and three or four cybernetically-enhanced Technicians... :P

Mine arrived from Miniature Market yesterday. I hope everyone gets their book soon.

Got mine a few hours ago... Been reading and setting a folder up with character info in it. LOVE the Corebook and GM Screen. Both are the highest quality I have in my extensive RPG collection. Very pleased with this purchase. CoolStuff came through! :)

I managed to pick up a copy of the GM Kit from my local Shop-O'-Goodies-and-Trinkets, but am still waiting for my rulebook to clear customs. :-/ Either they're checking it over for drugs or, more likely, have cracked it open and have started playing their own campaign at the port. Cheeky gits.

Just got my book and dice in yesterday!

Mine, too!

For anyone still waiting on a delivery from Miniature Market, I got my shipping notice on Friday the 5th, and the book delivered here in Toronto today. I suspect they were shipping preordered books before the release date (and just sending the notifications on release date), because I didn't pay extra for expedited shipping and three business days to Toronto is pretty darn fast!

I pre-ordered my book in May from Miniature Market. I chose the standard ground shipping. They emailed me a shipping notice on Saturday the 6th. I checked the UPS shipping log, and they didn't pick up the shipment until Monday, but it got here (Colorado) 2 days later. I suspect that they didn't ship your book before they sent you the notice either, if their process is consistent. I'd chalk it up to "speedy delivery." (yes, that is a Mr. Rogers reference. Don't ask me why.)

I didn't pre-order, I ordered mine from amazon the morning of July 5th as it was released. It is just now, today, being delivered. It shipped out yesterday, so it looks like amazon put free overnight on it to compensate, which is awesome of them. Just letting everyone know, expect some wait times if you're ordering now. My local gaming store says they don't expect to be resupplied until end of the month because of production cycles. So, anyone who doesn't have it: hold in there!

I had hoped my book would come today, but it's still listed as "In Transit" rather than "Being Delivered". :-(

After waiting impatiently for a week... Got my book and GM screen today. GLORIOUS!

Now to do a lot - a LOT - of reading. :D

Mine arrived here on Wednesday (sent from FRPGames on the 2nd), so allowing for FPO being that bit slower they made quite good time. We've just finished the beginner box adventure, so next time we play it's on to character generation. Happy me.

Got mine finally! Only a week from the US through Canadian customs :)

:(

I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

Ordered mine from Miniature Market last week, and realized afterwards that the warehouse/store is right in St. Louis which is only 25 minutes away! I could have just drove there and picked up my order...

I got my core rule book today in the mail from amazon. There was a pretty big dent on the top left hand of the corner, tearing the binding and the paper on the cover. Returning it for a replacement (only did amazon because I had a gift card that paid for the whole thing). I'm pretty upset, hoping to do a demo Friday night.

I had the same problem. I ordered the core book from Barnes and noble and it arrived in 5 days. Huge dent, so bad it tore the front cover.. i called Barnes and noble the next day and they shipped me a new on that day!!! I'm a little nervous about ordering the GM kit now but if Barnes and noble keeps up the good customer service then I will recommend them over amazon.

Mine got released from customs on Saturday, with a note saying that it will be delivered today. :) I'm hoping beyond hope that it WILL, in fact, be here soon.

Last tracking update, my books were in Chicago USPS sorting facility on Saturday. Presumably they have been loaded onto a plane and flown over the Atlantic to land in Johannesburg. I don't think the tracking stuff updates once it goes to another country.

Maybe I'm just being hopeful but it's been 1.5 weeks so I expect the delivery note to be in a post box before the end of the week.

So, I pre-ordered the module also, and apparently they weren't going to ship any of my order until that book released. Wish they would have said that at the ordering stage somewhere. I changed it to 2 shipments so I didn't have to wait, but I could have had the core book by now and been able to use it this weekend...
