So, I have been watching through a lot of Quantum Leap lately and I realized that one could easily craft a two player RPG adventure game with the basic rules of this game. The GM would be Al, with access to Ziggy's files and the Player would be Sam. This would be great fun if you sometimes had trouble getting a group together and just wanted to play a one-shot adventure. thoughts?
Dice Mechanics perfect for Quantum Leap RPG
Nice! Quantum Leap is a great show! One thing to consider, is Sam will be devoting all his points to skills, and mental/social attributes. His physical scores should be determined by whoever he has leapt into right? So, maybe lower his starting points a bit, unless you are still going to track his own physical stats.

Well, he always had his own strength and skills. He was only ever physically overpowered by the host once and only mentally twice (Pregnant Leap and Lee Harvey Oswald and Electroshock therapy side effect). So, I would always give him average physical capacity, but Social Status would be the most important thing. So, if he's in the 1960s and White, he'd have more influence than if he was Black or a woman. If he is a child, his influence is even worse.
Also, you could throw in an Evil Leaper if a despair is rolled when figuring out the likelihood of success.

The other Leaper wasn't evil. She was working with an organization that was trying to keep history unaltered. Sam, even with Al and Ziggy, couldn't possibly know the impact of, what to them was, their minor changes to history on the flow of events in a wider net. Just as we can't really predict the weather out past more than a week because the number of variables is just too large.
Man I need to watch that show again. I haven't since it went off the air. ![]()

While I would definitely agree that Alia wasn't evil, Zoe (her "Al") clearly was. She didn't just want to correct history, she wanted to introduce suffering to the equation.
I just watched Mirror Image today (and all of season 5 in the last two weeks) and I must say that it was the oddest season, but they were intending to expand the scope of the show just when it got canceled. Honestly, the last five minutes of the episode to give the series "closure" were just kind of tacked on. Though, it is as great an ending as you could expect with the short amount of notice they had about cancellation.

Just watched it all over the last couple of months. The only episode that isn't anywhere online is the Season 2 Episode "Disco Inferno," which has one of my favorite jokes from the whole series (Gerald Ford falling down). I'm surprised I remember it because I only saw that episode once when it aired and I was maybe seven at the time.
I just wish that they could do a movie or revive the series somehow. It really was one of my favorite series of all time.
