New forum thoughts (mine and yours!)

By I. J. Thompson, in The FFG Website

Hi!

Really liking the new forums so far. They load nice and quickly, which I'm sure will inspire people to hang out here a little longer, and more often.

I have one small request that I think would be good: near the top of each page, there's the

FFG Community Roleplaying Games Star Wars: Edge of the Empire

bar (for example). It would be very nice if this bar was at the bottom of the page, too. That way, when I'm done reading a thread, I can just click on → Star Wars: Edge of the Empire to get back to the forum's main page. As it is now, I have to page up to click this link, which is a little bit annoying.

(EDIT: oh, duh. I found it. Well, does anybody else have suggestions? :D )

Anyway, great work so far! :)

I love the new forums. I am curious which forum software you are using.

The new forums are 100x better than they were. Many Thanks!

The forum posts load so much better that I am more apt to use this area over Board Game Geek now for your FFG product.

I have to say, I did like the feature where you could list the games you own in your profile. It sort of helped others see what you play. However, if that had to go to expedite the loads, good ridden!!!

What are these warning points show on your profile? If we say something critical against an FFG product will Big Brother FFG mod back hand us with a warning? Or is that mostly for abusive jerks not being good gamers?

Will be interesting to follow...

The forums are only showing me the start date of a thread. I can’t see the last post date on the page that lists all the threads for a sub forum. It makes it hard to tell how far back I am going without going to the last page of a thread. If I am not logged in, I will see the last post date as is normal.

I do like the speed boost. :)

Pretty sure its IPS community suite. I think cardgamedb.com uses the same thing.
