Hello all,
This weekend we play through Scape from Mos Shuuta and half of The Long Arm of the Hutt. I am skipping all the compliments for the game and I will just focus on a few things ![]()
While we found the "ground" combat challenging and entertaining, we found the spaceship combat a bit more flat and may be too easy. What I mean by too easy is that for example (begin SPOILERS) the combat between the Krayt Fant and the four TIE fighters was waaay too easy. The Krayt Fang was crewed by a pilot a copilot and two gunners. The fight lasted for two rounds (well, one and a half) and the TIE fighters did not even hit the Krayt Fang once. It is not a bit wierd that a light frigther outpowers so easily four combat fouces starfighters? Did you have a similar experience? Later on, with the Dunelizard combat, it was even worse, the Dunelizard of the Kubz had not even the chance to act.(end SPOILERS)
Also the player playing the pilot of the ship was a bit disapointed about the space combat. This is because there is only one action (Gain the advantage) where the pilot skill is needed, and he pointed out that actually, any character can pilot the ship during a combat since pilot only maneuvers do not need a pilot check. Any thoughts about this?
Finally a question about the rules. Base on this text found in pg 153 of the beta book "Some ships may have multiple pilots, in which case each can perform a Pilot Only maneuver and only the ship suffers the strain. However, these ships are fairly rare." My question is, Can the co-pilot of a ship (for example the Krayt Fang has a crew slot for a co-pilot) use also pilot only maneuvers the same turn that the pilot does?
Cheers,
Yepes
