Player's guide?

By sonny sixshooter, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Will there be a Player's Guide for Edge of the Empire? Has anyone heard?

That would be a great supplement.

Do you mean with the current player information or a supplement expanding on player options?

Basically, just the rules, skills descriptions, talent trees and all that, without all the GM stuff. Somthe players can keep track of everything, without accidentally reading story stuff they are not supposed to.

If it's anything like the Beta book then the last couple chapters are generally going to be GM only ones. The *majority* of the book would be applicable to a player as well as the GM.

No, there is no plans for a player's guide consisting of the player information in the core book. There will just be the core book. There may a book expanding on that information at some point, though.

Not at this point in time. And if FFG is following a similar model as their Warhammer 40K RPG line, there probably won't be.

Though as mouthymerc said, it's likely there will be a sourcebook with additional player options, but that's probably not for a while yet.

I agree. Of the thirteen chapters in the book, really only three--dealing with The Game Master, Adversaries and the sample adventure--are not for the players. That's about a fifth of the book, and probably not worth a separate printing.
