I notice that the ability to buy one Elder Sign with ten trophies is not on the "Souvenir Shop" entrance card in Unseen Forces . Was this a deliberate omission?
Unseen Forces: Souvenir Shop
Yes, no more buying ES, something many people already used as a houserule. However, with the doubled buying speed (can now buy 2 items per visit), it doesn't hinder at all IMO.
I think the best part about it is that you just get to actually buy fun things, like allies, without feeling like you are making a bad move! I would always want to, but then get that, "No... you should save it..." kinda feeling. Felt much like wanting to spend all your birthday money but then deciding to put it into savings... not very fun for a board game

We always focused on saving trophies for the trade of
10 to 1 Elder sign! Now it's spend, spend, spend!!!

Pfft, I've still never bought allies, always fear going to draw Duke and pull an epic rager. Anytime I get an ally from R'lyeh, it's 90% Duke .

Really? We have never used it because it felt like a cheap way to get them. Not to mention we didn't need them in the first place.Yeah, that's true!

Strangely enough, now that we can't buy the Elder Signs anymore, our venture into the museum played completely different today. We all used the trophies for healing our characters and buying all sorts of goodies for them ... forget about ur pensions and spend , spend, spend!!!
Happy days are here again ... Walts
