I do think that doing this process programmatically is the right way to handle it, but I also know that doing so is beyond my ability to develop.

Right there with you. I'm betting there there's someone out there that could do it, though. I've been mulling over designs in my head, it actually seems like a reasonable task for someone who has time to commit.
