"Remove 1 token (any type)" interpretation

By soulcamp, in Star Wars: The Card Game - Rules Questions

Both WED-15-1016 and FX-7 Medical Assistant contain this text. After searching through the rules and the FAQ, I can't find anything that distiguishes a 3-damage token as unique such that it would be immune to this effect. But I assume the intention when removing damage-type tokens would be to remove 1 damage, not 3. Is this correct?

Correct. It was worded and tested thus before ever there was a production decision to include tokens that represented 3 damage.

Oh dear lord this would be broken if that were the case. The 3 damage tokens included in the box are just visual reminders (to save space… as if those big tokens really save any space) of there being 3x1 damage tokens on that unit/objective.

I agree this should be the case, but seems like something that should added to the FAQ, as "remove 1 token (any type) " seems ambiguous considering that no where in the rules does it clarify the definition of "a token".

I just use custom tokens I got from Team Covenant, and eliminate all confusion.
