Combination of Shield of Aeons and Descendant of the gods

By Katsuyori, in Warhammer Invasion Rules Questions

If I attach the Shield of aeons (text: "while attached hero or legend is participating in combat, cancel all damage assigned to it") and Descendant of the gods (Text:" attached legends get +4 hitpoints and can defend any of your zones") to one legend, I will get a legend that…

- can defend all zones and

- cancels all damage assigned to it ,

effectively acting like some kind of super-shield, that soaks up all damage before any zone can be damaged (as long as I not damage a zone directly with some action. Is that right or did I overlook something? The only chance I see to get rid of that combination´s effect would be to destroy the Descendant of the gods attachment.

Is this intended? I have not seen this in real play, but is this not a little bit overpowered? But maybe I am mistaken here. Opinions?
