hama is for the birds

By neill_ramsey, in Strategy and deck-building

Please comment on these combos. Discard the events to pay to keep the watcher and the scout on the table, Hama pulls them back to my hand. Support of the eagles to add defense and attack to the watcher and scout, the eagles will not leave the table. In my head this sounds nasty, but I need 27 more cards to surround them with, any suggestions?

Hero (1)
Hama (TLD) x1

Ally (12)
Winged Guardian (THfG) x3
Watcher of the Bruinen (TWitW) x3
Trollshaw Scout (FoS) x3
Vassal of the Windlord (TDM) x3

Support of the Eagles (RtM) x3

Event (12)
Blade Mastery (Core) x3
Feint (Core) x3
Swift Strike (Core) x3
Hail of Stones (RtR) x3

ok, don't say it, I see the support of the eagles is hero only. Just a minor set back, depends upon the rest of the heros.

If you go mono tactics you can add Beorn and Beregond with stand together. Basically you have to assign all your damage to one character, but you can use the defense of all the defending characters. Since Beorn does not exhaust to defend he can still defend or attack, but the armor of your other characters keeps him healthy. Hama brings the event back into hand. You can build a wall. Then, add in Landroval in keeping with the eagle theme and you can let Beorn die and then bring him back. Its pretty amazing.

i prefer using thicket of spears….all 3 tactics heros, have beorn, hama, legolas.

hama recycles thicket and feint. beorn sentinels any other decks, or for when you really can thicket/feint. all 3 are the killers.

I like these ideas. Do I use songs to access other card sphere's or just stick with a mono deck?

are you playing 1 or multi handed? if multi handed go for a mono tactics and then a lore/spirit deck for questing

if solo i wouldnt stick with 3 tactics heros. this does of course mean thicket of spears is ou tand you would have to water down the tactics cards, but you still have feint.

perhaps go for two tactcs heros and eowyn

or even a 3 sphere deck

I play solo with one deck, I am thinking Eowyn as she will bring Aragorns wife (I cant remembert her name right now) and Bifur as questors. I will probably run another tactics hero and Eowyn. What do you think of the new tactics card that allows me to give quests the battle keyword, providing the quest does not have a keyword. Will this make a mono tactics deck more workable? I am thinking right now the card is too situational.

the trained for war is an excellent card, but yes, it makes it risky for solo play becuase you depend on drawing it in set up. you can of course mulligan for it and recycle with hama, but its still risky.

i would go with eowyn, and arwen is the elf you were thinking of. bifur is another great choice you have made as he basically has a built in +1 resouce mechanism with his ability

I have a fifty card deck that I would love some feedback for. I needed two tactics heroes for Landroval. I think I still need more resource generation.
