I would throw down immediately for tokens and map packs. Optional, of course, but coming from a WHFR background I find the bits to be an added visual piece that my table really enjoys. I don't see any reason why FFG couldn't cater to both demographics there.

This. You could argue that 28mm scale map stuff would be a Good Thing for FFG, since it might help draw in the Saga/SW minis crowd who would otherwise have no use for minis to a dead game.

I have used miniatures for RPG's since the early 90's. I have always found a visual reference ideal for when there is combat. I have a nice collection of Star Wars miniatures from the saga days of playing. That being said, I would love more maps, miniatures, tokens, etc. to further add to my collection. I was going through what I have and dang, I have a lot of jedi/light saber weilding miniatures.

Saw my first report on the g+ group that someone has received their pre-order. My FLGS says Friday.

I checked with cool stuff, where I pre ordered and they got them in today and my order is packed and ready to ship. I should have it Friday.

Noone will buy the dice alone.

I did.

Amazon split my order. The current word is that I should get my dice on Saturday and the core book and GM kit on Monday next week. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that even with a holiday in the way, the orders might arrive on Friday and Saturday.

Just received an email from coolstuffinc.com saying my order has been picked up by Fed Ex. It will be here 1 week (4 business days) from today (on Tuesday, 7/9). **** those holidays and weekends! But, not bad given the official street date is Friday, 7/5.

Got my core rule book, GM kit, and three dice packs (to add to the 2 beginner box packs) today.

Whoooheee!

It's more about the sound of the new book. It's still crinkly. The production quality is such though that it will soon sound silky.

Just received the Core book and GM Kit yesterday from Amazon in Germany.. no news about the dice though.

:-)

I just ordered mine from coolstuffincgames on amazon. There were only 2 left after my order.

Just got my tracking info from Cool Stuff Inc. It has left the facility and will be here Friday!!!!!

Same here. Counting the hours... :)

Friday here as well. Book, GM kit, several sets of dice. Just like shootin' womprats back home...

Anyone had a miniature market shipment go out yet?

Edit: never mind contacted them, they start shipping on Friday.

Still no shipping notice from my Ebay supplier but I'm sure I'll receive it soon. Downside is shipping to my corner of the globe is likely to take two weeks or so. Hopefully I have the book before the end of the month!

I decided to support my local comic and gaming store. I hope I hear from them soon!

Me too. My 2nd copy will be from a FLGS.

Me three. An RPG core book that doubles as an art book is always nice, and keeping the "L" in the FLGS requires supporting it.

I wish I had the option of a FLGS but my local guy has unreliable distributors for RPGs. Tried ordering the Pathfinder World Guide and it took him a month and a half of trying, before I gave up and ordered it online. It's not his fault, he focuses more on card and collectible games.

I just hate when distributors toss around "out of print" and "back order" when the book is available in dozens of places, and is currently in print.

The book and accessories are still nowhere to be found in Canada. Anyone had better luck?
