had a quick question about force struggles, i had a unit dedicated to the force as the ds player and the ls player had an objective and an area enhacement that gave him more force icons then my one unit dedicated to the force. Now the lightside players had no units currently dedicated to the force but he declared the he still won the force struggle because he had more force points int eh force struggle is this correct or do you need a ready unit who is dedicatded to compete in a force struggle?

Your opponent was correct. It's just about the force icons … whether there are units involved or not is irrelevant.
