Is a roll limited to using the fourteen dice in the set provided, or can dice from additional sets be used.
Dice limits

Oh…
Oh god.
YES. YES USE MORE!!! Use as many dice as you need to represent a roll. I'd actually consider the "14 dice set" to be, at best, a half set. Many, if not most, rolls in the full game will neccessitate more than what you get in the provided set.

Nope, you can use as many as you need.
In fact, one common complaint I've seen about the Beginner Box and even the upcoming dice packs is they don't really give you enough dice, to the point you'd almost need two sets of dice to have enough to cover most types of rolls, though you could still run short on Challenge dice (I doubt it'd be very often you'd really need more than two, especially when starting out, but as the PCs advance I could see scenarios where there'd be three or more Challenge dice in a pool).
Great! Thank you!
Ill need at least 5 sets for my group, to cut down on waiting. I'll end up spending more on dice than the book and GM kit. More likely twice as much.
I got three sets. That gives me 6 challenge/proficiency dice, 9 difficulty/ability dice, 6 setback/boost dice, and 3 force dice. That's plenty for a group of any size, especially when you have a central star wars-themed tin that everyone's going to roll in so we don't have any renegade runaway dice.

At that rate, you're much better off buying the dice roller app and simply setting a tablet out on the middle of the table for folks to use as their dice roller. Unless of couse noboody in your group has a tablet, in which case the app isn't much of an option.

Meh. Virtual dice don't do it for me. All that rattling around is part of the tension
And this from an iOS developer…sometimes low tech is better.

I have the app for my iPhone, but virtual dice just don't feel the same. It works well, but I like rolling those physical dice.
