Sensor Arrays and PtL

By Englishpete, in X-Wing

If you take you action before you move, per the Sensor Array card, do you then use PtL immediately as stated on that card.

If so, you could then use a green manuvere and drop stress.

If this is true, this may make for some real interesting uses.

Also, if you had Daredevil, you could hard 1 turn, then green move and drop the stress…..

Looks like many exciting options with this card.

The way I am reading this it would work.

Advanced Sensors - Immediately before you reveal your maneuver, you may preform 1 free action. If you use this ability, you must skip your "Preform Action" step during this round.

Push the Limit - Once per round, after you perform an action, you may perform 1 free action shown in your action bar. Then receive 1 stress token.

So let say you have a Ten Numb + PTL + Advanced Sensors + Engine Upgrade. You could set your dial to a green maneuver….then use AS to do a free action, then use PTL to do another free action which will give a stress, then preform your maneuver which is green and will remove the stress. The only thing I see is the following:

1 - this is a pricey combo with little reward

2 - you could only do it on a B-Wing, TIE, Bomber, or Lambda-class Shuttle

Interesting idea just not sure the payoff would be worth the price.

The shuttles revealed so far don't have an elite pilot talent, and the bombers don't have a sensor icon, so this is only possible on an elite b-wing.

But I do think it would work like you say. You wouldn't be able to use advanced sensors if you have a stress token, and you also wouldn't be able to use (I guess you could, but wouldn't want to) ptl if you chose a red maneuver. but if you chose a green maneuver,i would think you would be able to get rid of the stress token you just gained.

Yeah I just noticed the not on Shuttles and Bombers after I typed that. Now you could still use PtL after selecting a "Red Maneuver"…you would just get the stress before the dial is revealed. Thus letting your opponent select another maneuver. Pointless but could be done.
