NoOb Level: opposing player it's not defending.

By Model800, in Star Wars: The Card Game - Rules Questions

Hello!

I've been lurking around this forum and reading the manual and I'm trying to put in play all the rules correctly, so here it is my basic questions! I'm sorry for the true noob questions but I want to enjoy this game : /

Situation in the conflict phase:

The LS is attacking and it has 2 ready units and has engaged the objective. The DS has one ready unit but it chooses not to defend .

2 ) Since the DS chooses not to defend, can the LS player attack directly the objectives and use the EDGE icons, like it has won the edge battle ?

3 ) The LS still can strike the deployed DS unit, even when the DS isn't defending, and vice-versa ( starting the resolution of the engagements, but bypassing the edge battle )

Thank you very much!

On your first question… If the DS player declares no defenders, you automatically win the edge battle, since there are no participating units on the other side of the engagement, and yes, your edge-dependent icons will be active.

As for the other question, you could only damage the non-participating unit if one of your attackers has the "Targeted Strike" keyword. Otherwise, their character damage icons do nothing.

Stormwolf, thank you very much for your quick reply!
