Though not free, Christopher West has some excellent maps available on his website, many of which were designed with Star Wars in mind.

If you're looking for free maps, do a web search for "Star Wars Minatures Maps." I know there was (at one point at least) a thriving fan community that generated their own battle maps for WotC's SW minis game, which quite a number of options to choose from. Of course, being fan work and free, the quality is going to vary from pretty darn good all the way to abysmal.

Those maps are pretty great. I'm wondering what software was used to create them. It would seem to me there would be a big market for drag-and-drop map creation software tailored for SW, but everything I've looked at requires a huge learning curve.

I own ALL of the Star Wars themed mapsofmastery.com maps, so I thought I'd put my two cents in. Just wanted to confirm that they look amazing (Chris West designed all the maps for the WOTC SW minis game, and these are as good or better). They are printed on a high quality semi gloss paper, double sided, and still in great shape even after may uses.

If you email him, I'm sure he'll tell you what program he uses.
