Have a close look at the card and the ship in the background. As FFG did before; is this a ship we will see in a future wave? Anybody knows what it could be?
Roark Garnet - ship in background of the card
I think it is an E-wing. I noticed it at star wars weekend.
Yup, Its definately an E-wing. Cool Reb ship. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/E-wing_escort_starfighter

Definitely not an E-Wing. Wings mounted to fuselage wrong, pod-thing on wings far too small, engine block in back very different, missing the nose fins, etc.
For reference - Roark Garnet card.
Now compare the fighter in the background vs the Kihraxz Assault Fighter from Star Wars: Galaxies.
@xanderf you're dead on! good call! more info here http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Kihraxz_light_fighter wonder if we'll see a possible Black Sun Faction??

Doesn't seem likely - I recall some answer from FFG in one of those Q&A sessions indicating that the game was two factions: Empire vs Rebels, period.
That said, they have Bounty Hunters working for the Empire, already, so the idea of Black Sun fighters in the potential list for the Imperials…seems rather likely. And, of course, smugglers for the Rebellion.
Disappointing, but seems how they are going to go. Given the relative reliability of the 'ship in the background of a card' clues between waves, I'd say that locks in the Kihraxz for wave 4 (IMHO). And if we are tapping into 'Black Sun' characters and settings for wave 4, that would seem the most likely fit for the Outrider/YT-2400, too. (Although I really hope we don't get stuck with the StarVipers for the Empire, too. This whole 'there are only two factions' thing is tremendously annoying, although I understand the reason from a business perspective…)
Perhaps the 2-faction rule was only envisioned for the initial fiscal year? its possible the popularity of the game could induce them to re-visit that plan for future waves. Always in motion the future is. ![]()
That being said, I'm also quite happy with the game in its current state. Wave 3 will really add some depth to squad building and keep the game interesting for some time. I also understand that FFG recycles its art from other games, with some of the X-Wing art coming from the Card Game and RPG. It could be that the Roark Garnet shot is artwork fromShadows of a Black Sun
