Enemies movement abilities

By Blue Dog, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Hi folks, I looked for this but didn't see it -

PC's can maneuver twice, if they take two strain, are minions or other enemies able to do the same?

For example, can an enemy move into medium range from close and then take cover? Or even move from medium into close and then engage? They don't have strain, so I assume they don't take damage.

Minions take wound damage in the place of strain damage. So it probably is not a maneuver they would take advantage of often, if at all. But adversaries have access to the same actions as PCs.

True, but Minions cannot voluntarily suffer Strain, which means that they cannot suffer Strain (Wounds) to gain one extra maneuver. Henchmen on the contrary, can voluntarily suffer Strain (typically converted to Wounds), therefore they can suffer Strain (Wounds) to gain one extra maneuver.

So, as Yepes said above, minions may not take strain voluntarily, so they cannot take strain for a second maneuver.

However, a listed action is "take an additional maneuver", so minions CAN take two maneuvers in a turn, provided they sacrifice their action to do so. So minions could move from Med to short (nee' close) then use their action as a manevuer to engage(maneuver), but not attack. Or, they could move from short to medium, then take cover as a second maneuver, but again, no attack.
