Need suggestion

By Digitalkiller, in X-Wing

Hi everyone,

I am new on this game, sadly this caught my attention when FFG ran out of any models. So I am waiting for Q3 (July, august, who knows?) to buy the first models.

I am thinking of buy an started set then maybe buy 2 ships per month if I can, depending of my wife hahaha…

So… will be something like

Month 11Starter set

Month 2 X-wing, Tie

Month 3 X-wing, Tie

Month 3 Y-wing Tie Interceptor…

Month 4 ?

What do you think could be the appropriate order to buy models? I am thinking that I’ll be the only layer around for a while so need to build to armies to try to show this around J

Thanks in advance

I'd say you're better off buynig a 2nd core set. You get 2 Ties and 1 X, for less then it would cost to buy them on their own, and you get the extra dice and such.

Then next buy at least 1 more Tie and 1 X to get the extra pilot cards.

From what I've seen, and what I'm planing on myself. You want 5-6 Tie Fighters, unless you are going to bulid one of the 7-8 TF swarm lists. Then after that 4 of each reb ship is plenty.

For the other Imp ships, myself I plan on getting 4 TI's, and 2-3 TA's.

This is exactly what i was going to say but was beat to it.

Extra X-wing, extra TIE, and dice pack alone are 35 retail. you should be able to find a core set online for 25 bucks…which will also get you another set of movement markers incase your first set are damaged in some way.

Perfect… thank you both for your suggestion, 2 core set definetively is a good idea. :)

cheers.
