Why does the flame armor cost so much?

The same reason .357 Magnum costs twice more than Cabinet Rifle. And according to your logic, why would I want to spend all my focus to refresh brazier when I can refresh Fetch Stick for free? rarely do +7 won't kill the monsters... I hope you see where I'm going with this. If your fight is 0 or even 1, you would fail many checks against those annoying monsters with 3 toughness and difficult modifiers, not to mention monsters with magical resistance in the case where you don't have phyiscal weapons. Would you count on a one-time +8, which is actually +5 because of the monster's modifier, on a total of five to six dice to roll three successes? I know I wouldn't.
Here is a Unique item. And yes the picture is crap.
Overpriced. For just 1$ more you can get
A new batch of expensive, but powerful items:

Hidden Blade is really cool, and isn't likely to be overpowered unless you slow to a crawl. The Egyptian Statue is way underpriced however, especially when considering how much you'll save on the other unique items you get.
The other two items are cool, but seem oddly unthematic. Maybe for a more modern adaptation they could fit.

Heh... Hidden Blade is usually balanced, I'd argue it's even a bit overpriced ;') except when Wendy's in the game and you can give her +5 to combat while keeping her mobile ;'D

I would make it a common and cost $2 dollars but over all good idea!
Plus the picture would look better if you zoomed and moved it down ie play with the picture until there is no white.
A couple of basic, cheap weapons for investigators who can't afford much but really need a weapon that does the job:
Isn't there already a Carbine Rifle? Or am I just crazy?

****, you're right. I thought it was Cabinet Rifle for some reason...
Here's something we haven't seen before:

You got confused because you keep your Carbine Rifle in your cabinet :')

Hm... Interesting.
Two very powerful yet expensive weapons:
No to the daggers... They're essentially a +8 weapon at first, but in reality they're stronger, as they also amplify other bonus you can get, wether by skills, clue tokens, or allies. ::Cough cough:: or shrivelling with Marie.
BGG had some custom missions to get rid of heralds, but each herald had its own mission. Instead you can put this card in the Unique deck and it can be used on whichever herald is out.
First creation with Strange Eons. Fun litle program. Please let me know what you think of this. Based on an item from Caitlin Kiernan's Threshhold novel.
I don't understand the Fossil, it seems to be killing your Sanity with no upside. Do you keep the three Clue tokens or something maybe?
Even so it would not be worth it. Losing three Sanity and one maximum Sanity is not worth three Clues. That card could be a brutal Curse or something though.

::Laughter:: I'd rather seal those gates in most cases ;') maybe I'd use that against the BGOTW or possibly the KIY (but probably not). Unless you're playing hastur, that's enough to seal nearly four gates. Forget it ;') unless you have a bunch of tomes. Even still.

It's good if you're going if you're trying to go LITAS for Join the Winning Team ;'D
Actually, that's kindof a fun idea— cursed artifacts— items that you *have* to buy if you come across them in a shop and that have negative effects on the investigator. (And can't be traded or lost).

Easy enough, just give them a price of 0. You have to buy something, so if that's all you can afford you must take it.
That's a good idea on the cursed items. It would make it far more risky to go shopping if you HAD to buy the cursed one. The idea of having them cost $0 may not do much though, since you would just make sure not to go shopping with only $2-3.
I think the cursed items should do something helpful, but at a price that is not worth it. For example a weapon that gives you a minor combat bonus but you HAVE to waste a hand on it. Or a helpful item that drops one of your stats. Or tomes that still give good stuff but really hurt to read (and you have to read it!).
Wow there's so many cool possibilities for cursed items! I'll have to make sure not to ruin the Unique deck with tons of cursed garbage! lol
As for the Herald mission, I wanted to make it in keeping with the other missions from the game.
Seriously though, what cost would make it tempting? 1 tome or 3 Clues? With two options of how to pay, I figured using two tomes and 8 clues wasn't too bad, and missions are always ridiculously expensive. Or I could make it "1 unique", or even "1 item", then it wouldn't be a choice between sealing gates and the mission. Just not sure what cost would make it a hard choice.
