Does ANYONE play this game in AZ?

By The Whacko, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

I've had the beginer game and the beta book since they first came out back last December. Since then I've yet to find a single freaking game in the Mesa/Tempe area. Its getting frustrating. I really, really want to play, and I'm not sure I wanna drop thirty bucks on the rulebook if I can't find a venue. If anyone knows of a place, please lemme know.

I know this doesn't help as we all live in Yuma, but yes. There are four of us who play it. Do any local game stores have a gamer directory?

I'm in the same boat, only in Louisiana.

There's not even a FLGS for 250 miles.

The few RPGs I've managed to play I've had to gm. Don't think I've got to "play" but one session of D&D 3.5 years ago.

Get yourself to the Game Depot on Southern and McClintock in Tempe. There are plenty of folks down there who run weekly games and there are a number of X-Wing groups as well. I'll be starting up a new campaign here pretty soon, but right now my work days are pretty whacky.

Wait, really? Hell, I'd almost given up on finding an Empire group there. Had a message on the board there since Christmas!

I'll be sure to head there soon, then. Lemme know when you start your campaign. Finaly get to take my Rodian for a spin.

Game Depot on Southern and McClintock is a great store. I recommend you check it out. I just picked up the beginner guide for Edge of the Empire. Did a quick run with my bros. I liked it. I told a friend of mine and he's very excited for the game as well. I've never played an RPG before so GM is not the best option for me. We both live in Tempe as well and we've been trying to convince some coworkers as well.

Awesome. Been a while since I went to Game Depot, gonna have to see to that. Need to find out when the weekly games are though.

I'd be more than happy to run in a couple of weeks after things clear off my plate. I'm off Wednesday - Friday, and Saturday and Sunday I'm home after 7PM.

Awesome to hear, man. I'll keep in touch. Usualy only went to Game Depot to play 40K every other week or so, but after I saw this on the shelf I had to get into RPGs. Glad to finaly see someone interested in this here.

Thanks for the invite!

Shameless bump. Still looking for a game, preferably Game Depot as the venue.

I just bought the beginners box and ordered the core book. I will be campaigning at empire games on south of baseline on greenfield.

Sweet, that actually works out pretty well, too. Only a short bus trip from Empire Games myself. Keep me posted on that campaign.

Will do. I'm out of town until the 19th. Looking to start on Tuesdays. So far a lot of interest.

I'm up here in North Phoenix, near Imperial Outpost, haven't been lucky finding games of any kind unfortunately.

I am starting a campaign on Thursdays in the evening a weekly event. I may have an opening if you are interested.

Hey, sad to say I'm back to looking for a campaign. If there's anyone out there in Mesa/Tempe that's got room for one more, let me know.

I know this isn't what you are asking for but..... you may want to give Google Hangouts a try until you get your footing with a face to face game.

Suppose I'll give it a look, but I still prefer face to face games.

Bump.

...bump.

Sorry to bring up this post as it is a bit old. However the military has brought me to Yuma Arizona and I would like to meet this Yuma game. (Assuming that interactions would not cause any fraternization violations)

We just started a Friday night game at Hat's Games in Tucson. Not sure if the GM is looking for more players or not, but I can find out...

bit of a drive from Tempe, though...
