I'm fairly new to this Forum so forgive me if this has been discussed before
Has anyone produced any house rules for 50+ Space Transport Hulls?
I ask as I notice that Spacedock Piers can only be fitted to transports with 50+ space or Grand Cruisers. As Grand Cruisers are out of the range of a normal starting group that leaves Transports. The problem is that this leaves the Universe (a huge bloater by anyones standards) or possibly the Conquest (though without exstensive good quality components and / or an archotech drive you struggle to fit guns into its weapon slots).
Any Ideas?

Well welcome to the forum my friend. You have come to the right place to ask your questions.
Though I see your delima, I always thought the reason why they did this was so that the Spacedock Piers was just slighty ot of reach of beginning characters. Mind you, the game is wide open to any idea, so having a RT group starting with Spacedock Piers on their ship would be rip with adventures.
Wish I would of thought of that.
To attempt to fix your dilema I would suggest taking a few pre-created ships and modifying them. Take the Jericho-class Pilgrim ship for example. Remove the main cargo hold it comes pre-equipped with and it now has 49 cargo space ( and hope the GM isn't to put off by this to say no). You could also modify the Goliath this way. Remove both cargo holds and you are left with 48. You could attempt to remove the Plasma Refinery, but there are no set stats for this Component. I'm thinking it would be around 8 to 10 space though, but is just my opinion.
There once was website that contained allot of RT (to include Warhammer 40k) information, called Dark Reign. It seems someone hacked that forum and they had to migrate to a new one. Alas, I can't seem find any info there now. Looks like they lost it all.
I'm sure there are some ships people have created posted here in the forums. Utilizing the search engine would be your best choice to find them. Happy hunting though.
Truedragon5374 built a Repair-focused transport awhile back that I adopted for my campaign. I recommend giving it a look.

Thanks the Anvil Class is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for.
