Is there seriously no thread for this?

The new expansion looks so great… love the environment, love the new monsters (yay more female monsters!), love the new heroes and classes… I'm probably more excited for this than Labyrinth of Ruin.

No, FFG, it's cool, keep on taking my money. I wasn't intending to eat anything but rice this year anyway.

Am I right in saying they are announcing the third expansion before releasing the second?

I don't think I can even afford rice!

i`m more interested in the LIEU in the box. Will it be another TOKEN or miniature?

FFG where are Lieu`s miniatures???? Where is Splig and others!?

So happy. Prophet sounds like it’s going to be almost a pure buff class, which I’ve always though is much cooler than a band-aid machine, and Stalkers are trap specialists? Sounds amazing if they do it right. I especially have high hopes for the Stalker since the treasure hunter preview left me feeling a little “meh” since it seems to be stepping on the theif’s toes a bit too much.

And the new overlord cards seem like a cool concept. Worms and Harpys look cool. Overall I’m excited.

I would expect to see two expansions per year for Descent, going forward for however long they can keep this up. One big box in June/July-ish followed by a small box in November-ish (I think that was around when LoW came out.)

Vonpenguin: If you think Treasure Hunter is stepping on the Thief's toes now, wait until you see what kind of classes their working with in two or three years. Six new classes per year, I don't know how long I could keep original content coming…

I really wish they'd reprint the Lieutenants. They should also be sold in sets:

(1) for the Main Box

(1) For Lair of the Wyrm

(1) For the Labrynth of Ruin Expansion

(1) For the Trollfens

I really don't think we'll continue to see new classes at the current rate - they'd run out of content too soon. I do another type of future expansion where we get all the paper stuff and no new classes - just new heroes and monsters with a book to run the campaign.

maybe (and I am not as well endowed in the D:SE area) they release a small start box compared to first edition to hook in the casual never played it and then pumping out the expansions to pull in the hardcore fans.

when I got the first box I said it's ok but needs more before I play it and said the same about the first add on and sooner or later their will be enough to make me want to play!

Super excited for this! Always love new monsters, as an Overlord player they're my favorite component of the game

Though I agree with other sentiments that I wish LT's had minis. As tokens, they just don't have that field presence, so I always play them as sort of "meh." As minis, they'd get the respect they deserve!

Can`t wait for the metal ( or plastic) Lt. mini.

I used some REAPER proxies. some of them turned out really cool. i will keep them.

The Trollfens setting look awesome! The box art is great and the new components sounds nice.

I really like the pattern FFG is taking: 1 small box + 1 big box per year. Keeps this game fresh even though I can't keep up lol.

I'm loving how they are supporting this game. I want the bloody LT mini's though before I launch the campaign for my group though. So expansions like this, are you guys running them as apart of the original campaign, or off the large box expansion campaigns?

I yurn, I suffer, I'm excited and I'm impatient… can't wait to get my hands on it!!! ooooh the smell when you first open the box… In addition, Dear FFG thank you for planning out my budget all year round and keeping me in shape…you've succeded where all others have failed.

Can't wait either. Need more OL choices. My group can't wait for 4 dwarves to release so they can mimic the Hobbit movie. And I'm hoping they will use the apothecary class I'm getting tired of the Disiple class.

I think the harpy might end up being one of the strongest monsters.

I'm assuming there's 5 figurines of her (2 red/3 tan), as the Plague Worms are pretty large and probably only have 1 red and 1 tan, and there's 9 total miniatures (2 heroes). Of course, there could only be four Harpies and three Plague Worms, but even so…

5 speed is pretty great (really the only use for Goblin Archers). I'm not sure what Flock is, but if Swarm is anything like the original Descent (I'm assuming it'll be altered to be something like "gets +1 heart for each other harpy adjacent to target"), these monsters will be incredibly dangerous, especially with the Fly ability too.

swarm already exists on the descent V2 on Conversion Kit for Kobolds

For the Wyrm we use a red Shadow Dragon mini when not using them as monsters...or any 6-space dragons from D1E. I'll have to look for proxies for Lieutnant's soon as I have plenty of variety with Talisman, D1E, D&D Games, etc.

There are feet to put on Lieutnant tokens. It works for all of them except the dragon from Wyrm. Till they come out with figures, that's what we will be doing.

Considering all the effort FFG is putting into coming with all this expansions, they should better leave more time between them and molt some awesome figures for the LT's. They did a fantastic job with the heroes and monsters, so why not with the LT's?

Since someone stated on another post. Sell the plastic in bulk so it's cheaper for FFG and consumers.
