Future Wave Wishlist

Yeah, new pilot and crew cards would be nice. Any Rogue or Wraith Squadron pilot from the X-Wing series would be fun.
Or how about this one? Pilots that allow certain ships to switch sides. For example Emon Azzameen from XWA flies a Firespray-31 and I'm fairly sure you could find an imperial aligned smuggler for the YT1300 (Did Niles Ferrier ever fly a YT1300? He probably stole one at some point). Other than that I'd like to see X-Wing pilot Tycho for sure, and the YT2000 from XWA (Can you guess what my favourite Lucasarts game was?).
I don't think Pilot packs would be a bad idea for FFG- certainly a better idea than that map tile set they're pushing out. The pilot pack could be a print-on-demand deal like the expansions for their other games. All they'd need are the pilot cards and the pilot tokens… perhaps a few upgrade cards to sweeten the deal as well. It's not a miniature but you could charge a good price ($7?) for everything in a pilot pack. Might even seperate them by Rebel/Empire or a specific era?

Best way to do it would be to have all the new pilots with their tokens for a specific ship. It would be Rebel/Imps then ship type. Any errata cards could be distrubited this way, and they could charge $10 for it. I would buy a $10 pack for every ship I owned if they had new generic pilots bundled too.
Actually a Scenario set would be an awsome addition in which you can get a few more obstacles, objectives, and heck like someone here suggested pilots.
Pilot Wishlist
Keyan Farlander (X-Wing)
Ru Murleen (Rebel Assualt)
Juno Eclipse (Force Unleashed)
Till next time fly boys
My wishlist is very simple.
As much as I'm looking forward to wave 3, I'd like the Tie Interceptor and A-Wing to be available and in stock either online or at my local store.
Starwing Assault gunboat, I don't care what the other ships are. This was one of favorites in the TIE FIGHTER pc game.
Mist hunter
Rogue Shadow
IG-2000
punishing one
outrider
I really like big ships and bounty hunters.
I'm with the other folks who suggested Scenario books and sets of upgrade cards. It bothers me that I need to buy more ships than I'll play just to have access to the upgrade cards. Borrowing them from another player only works if they actually have the cards.
I have a feeling that we'll see a 'new' base set which has prequel ships in it. I know this may not sit the best with many … but I think they'll go deeper into the newest three movies and the Clone Wars series (creating new factions to represent the prequel combatants) before going much deeper into the EU.
Jedi Starfighter
Jedi Interceptor
ARC170
Vulture Droid
Tri-fighters
V-Wing
etc…
That said, I think wave 4 might see 2 'neutral' ships (with some pilots that may be faction specific) before they do the base set.
TIE Defender (Imperial Only)
YT-2400 (Rebel Only, large)
Z-95 (Neutral with faction-specific pilots)
Aggressor Assault Fighter (Neutral, IG2000-like ship, large)
I am watiing for the pilot that changes one (eye) to a (hit) similar to Luke's ability. Not as powerful as Lukes ability, but still…
I would love to see more upgrade cards or a way to buy packs of cards sans ship. Or for that matter, a way to get extra maneuver dials. I already lost one for a Y-Wing. Additional pilot cards would be amazing. Possibly Wraith Squadron?
I personally really like the idea of pilot expansions, they would be easy to stock and produce. They could be themed so you could have things like a "Rogue Squadron" upgrade pack with appropriate characters and upgrades for rebels. I think it would be a good opportunity to give us named pilots we already have in other ships and maybe be an opportunity to give each side access to cards they want without needing to buy ships that they would never use.
Oh and I expect that 1969 Buick Electra will be included eventually ![]()
Pilot expansions is an Awesome idea. Get some more rogue squadron pilots, maybe even a generic PS 5 Rogue Pilot with a medal. More uniques would only help things i think, and it allows for expansion of ships without just making new ones. I Personally really hope they make prequel stuff - the Eta-2-Interceptor would be dope...but i could see them waiting a few more sets before they delve there.
Other ships - XJ-wing, E-wing, *Chiss Clawcraft!* Cloakshape, Z-95.
I'd enjoy seeing large ships in a few sets. (y'know, cause the falcon and firespray are on Medium bases (Right?)...if they put in a few frigates or something like that, on a bigger base, i'd enjoy it - make em really slow, kinda innacurate, but tanky. idk, brainstorming
Another vote for pilot cards. I really like the idea of squad packs. It'd also be cool to see cards for pilots in different ships. Like Wedge in a TIE or an Interceptor.
I think the Z-95 is the most likely ship we'll see next. Think Rebel swarm.
Scenario packs would be cool too. Something like the board tiles FFG already has but with a pic of a corvette or some other ship too large to produce. Then include turrets that sit on that board like the pieces in Mousetrap (you remember Mousetrap, don't you?). Instead of maneuver dials they come with rotation dials. Or maybe they can only turn so many clicks/degrees per turn.
It would be cool to have a Viper from BSG. It could do K turns without getting stressed.
If FFG are reading this; I WILL buy an expantion with new pilots for existing ships! A few new mid cost x-wing pilots are what I'm after, Garven/Biggs equivalents.
Looking at what's come so far, I don't think we can expect anyone post RotJ, so no Corran Horn, Mara Jade or anyone from the new republic or galactic alliance era. Everything that's come from the Expanded Universe so far (Tycho, Fel, Mouldy Crow) has been active during time of the original trilogy or retconned in. The new disney episodes VII, VIII and IX kind of leave anything past that time in a grey area cannon-wise.
Wes Janson, Hobbie Klivian and Zev Sinesca are good options as they all appeared in and had lines in ESB. Keyan Farlander from the X-Wing PC game is a good bet as we already have Marek Steel from Tie Fighter.
I'd also like to see a two man y-wing, maybe a non-unique tite like 'scout' or 'longprobe' that loses the topedoes to gain the crewman.
And while we're wish listing, I don't think the outer rim smuggler does the idividuality of his/her concept justice, an elite smuggler with a more customisable ship would be good. It could start with a forward firing only attack value of one or even zero, relying on secondary weapons like an ion cannon/blaster turret or even a heavy laser cannon, as well as taking crew, bombs and system upgrades.
They have some decent bounty hunters and scoundrels to get out. Most certanily Bossk should have the Hounds tooth with Zuckuss as an upgrade. Perhaps even a card where you nominate a "nemesis" for Bossk. He gets a bonus when targeting or damaging that chosen target for the match. (He's an angry Lizard. Whole books written about his animosity towards Boba Fett and his unsatiable anger...all the time.)
Dengar and the Punishing one. 4-LOM fits with Dengar as an upgrade, perhaps a 4-LOM & Zuckuss together since they were a team.
I'm curious if they've thought about releasing small booster sets of only cards, with no ships. Sort of upgrades for existing ships. This would help bring Jodo Kast into the game.
Prince Xizor and the Virago?
I wouldn't mind seeing an accesory set with 3-D pieces. Drifting probe droids. Small mining outpost etc.
There is a concept I was pondering with "High Command Cards" representing command and control elements, like your units commanding officers etc. Offering one time use abilities. Whatever fits the feel for the characters.
That lets them get Tarkin, Ozzel, Piett, Thrawn and a myriad of Alliance commanders.
*EDIT* Actually the more I think about the Bounter Hunters, the more any ship, but Bossks isn't needed. They all worked together, including with Fett. The Hounds tooth would have Bossk, Zuckuss or Fett as a pilot. (Fett being the First duplicate pilot card. It fits the lore, so why not!) 4-Lom and Dengar can be upgrade cards for the ship, plus any of the other oddities they could give them.
Perhaps a "Bounty" card. Secretly nominate an opponents ship. Your Bounty Hunter piloted ships get certain bonuses depending on the level of Bounty you paid for? Reveal it and place the card on the ship to activate the effects....could be interesting. Simple effects like not receiving stress tokens with a certain range of the "Merchandise".
Rebels/ New Republic: E-Wing, K-Wing
Empire: Tie Defender, Scimitar Bomber, A-9 Vigilance, Tie Droid.
I hope I'm not stepping on any toes by linking this, but I just found this small, unofficial interview with Jay Little. Either the developers are ahead of us, or they're listening to us. In any case, looks like our dreams of a cards-only expansion stands a good chance of coming true. Thank you snaggit, for getting in some questions and telling us what you heard!
Well I've already suggested "Scenario Book, please!!!!"
Still my number one.
But also I'd love to see all of the existing ships on cards without pilots and then pilot cards. One could put Howlrunner in an interceptor or Wedge in an A-Wing. Talk about mix and match... What about pilots that (in the EU) began with the Empire, Jon (Dutch) Vander for example, but defected. You could field them on either. Some pilots might ONLY be allowed on one side, i.e. Luke,. Some (most) craft might ONLY be allowed on one side.
Just a thought.
And, yes I second 3D props. Turrets, DS trench walls, etc...
Edited by Ken at SunriseI'm also curious why they didn't have the pilots apart from the ships. Perhaps it would have created combinations that would make most other options useless.
They could always balance some new pilots who replace existing Non character pilots like the Academy Tie Fighter etc. You simply use the card like an upgrade.
I'm only interested in standard equipment from both sides of the Galactic Civil War. The only reason I'd pick up any of the bounty hunter craft is if they had some kind of advantage that I needed. Even twin Firesprays is an exception, and I'd gladly trade them in for a flight of TIE Defenders.
I have to add my vote to cards - Pilot decks, upgrades, missiles, skills, etc.
I'd even be down with various decks getting added to the Print on Demand site.

+1 I'd love some deck options from "Print on Demand", especially just packs of Stealth cards.
I think a card pack or being able to print/copy them would be a great idea. As someone who has a small collection and has no desire to buy every possible ship, I really cant justify having to follow the strict 'have to have a card for every upgrade for every ship that has it rule'. Having one card to explain rules and some kind of squadron list printed out should be good enough.

Just be happy there isn't a CCG element? ![]()
They are meeting gamers half way here. You know where you can get the cards you want. You better believe there would be a massive premium if you could scoop up booster of cards that are currently in a ship purchase. Are there rules about having to use the actual cards printed by them for tournmament play?
It doesn't help your brick and mortar store you play at, but I wouldn't turn someone away as a game organizer. Hell, put them in sleaves and no one will know.
