They added the M-10, which along with the Sherman from the base game comprised the majority of American armor present in 1944. It definitely feels like the Germans have much more variety, but it seemed fine to me. I'd definitely love to see that kind of variety on the allied side, but I think when FFG does an eastern front game we'll see that!
Most of the Allied armour (especially American) in '44 was made up of varients of the M4. The Allies never fielded as many different AFVs in the same volume as the Germans did.
The M5 Stuart would be kinda nice to see.
I wouldn't mind seeing an M5 either. It would be cool if FF did a "light tanks" expansion that consisted of lighter vehicles like the PzKpfw II, M3/M5 Stuarts, Pumas, etc.
What about the British at Normandy did they have tanks on there beaches?

There were a few
DD-Tanks
with the British on Sword and Juno at least, but well, they're just Shermans that are able to swim
Basically it's Shermans all over, no real variety here.

What about the Centaur tanks, the Sherman Crab Flail tanks, the Shermans with dozer blades and the Churchill AVRE tanks? There was a bit of variety on the beaches which could have been covered by a Churchill mini with operation cards for the variants and with operation cards for the variants of the Sherman.

I agree the Sherman variants could be easily represented by operations cards. However, it would be nice to see e.g. a (British) Cromwell fillup the ranks of the Allied late war armour (and/or a Churchill).
As far as the variety of armour is concerned I definitely prefer Axis and Allies miniatures to TOI. (In most other respects I prefer TOI, though...). Then again, I expect we'll see more armour units one day. Hopefully also an official advanced vehicle rulebook ( facing, frontal and rear armour differences, possibly top armour as well while they're at it...)
I'd love to see more allied armor variety as well...but I'm thinking along a little different line myself.
The kind of allied armor I'd like to see next is more along the lines of, say...the T-34 & KV-1 kind of variety!
Then they can come back and add Cromwells & Churchills
after
that.
