Maybe this has been resolved elsewhere, but I haven´t been able to find it, so sorry for the inconvenience if any.

So… I deal damage with Boba and is redirected to another unit via Protect. Do I capture the protector unit? And if the damage is redirected but not all, do I get tu capture both damaged units (given they are alive, of course)? And, if someone deflects one damage to one of my units, can I capture it too to trigger S&V shenanigans?

Its reaction is "After this unit damages a Character unit, capture that unit.", which triggers each time damage that comes from Boba is applied to a LS character unit (and yes, assuming they're still in play - his reaction comes too late if they've been destroyed by Boba's damage). So yes, if damage from Boba gets applied to multiple units, they each could be captured.

The rules specifically say that only LS units can be captured though, and this effect doesn't specifically override that (i.e. it doesn't specifically say you can capture a DS unit), so no, you can't trigger the effect for damage that's re-directed to a DS unit.
