Quick question regarding this . I put a character into shadows and attach Quaithe as a condition attachment.

Could this be discarded , for example by Master of Lemonwood or would it be considered in shadows ?

It's a condition attachment attached to an out-of-play card, but there's nothing to suggest the attachment is out of play. You should be able to discard it like any other attachment.
