Suggested Builds for 1st time LGS

By Ken at Sunrise, in X-Wing

This weekend I hope to set up a couple of games at an LGS. They've sold only a few X-Wing stuff beyond what I bought and they'd like to host a game. They have never ran one so far So… I said I might not mind bringing my stuff down and running a couple of games but I NEED suggestions.

Game 1: Limited or NO mods. Simple and clean builds, variety is okay but this is for learning rules.

Game 2: Can be more of the same but wouldn't mind adding a couple of mods. Of course changing out all of the ships is cool as it let's them learn, see more stuff.

What I have (I tried to get what I thought would cover most builds, fun not tourney):

2 - Core
4 (2+2 above) - X Wing
3 - Y Wing
4 - A Wing
1 - MF

6 (2+4 above) - Tie Fighter
2 - Tie Advanced
4 - Tie Interceptors
1 - FS

Any suggested builds for these two demo games?

I'd appreciate any help.

P.S. I foolishly threw away the plastic containers my ships came in. I'd love to get at a minimum 1 each for the MF and FS but would greatly appreciate anything. I live in so florida if anyone can help.

Thank you again.

i'm going to go ahead and assume you are very new to the game in general so i'll reccomend that you go with 4 X-wings with little to no upgrade cards for a first time play.. the ships are solid and allow for misplays and can still recover

they are also really easy to fly (but predictible)

Good guess and yes, only a couple of games.

4 X Wings are not problem. What should the Imperial Side look like.

I was thinking maybe 2 x X Wing Red Squad and 4 x Tie Fighter Academy for game 1. Close and only 2 point difference. I'm a little concerned about the PS of the Ties. At 1 they may get chewed up before firing.

And game 2????

Trying to help a store promote a game I was to play is harder than I thought.

I think Fantasy Flight should come out with a senerio book from easy mission to complex. A variety of ships.

But until then…
