Tournament Rules Questions - Going to Time

By Domain, in Android: Netrunner Rules Questions

The official Tournament Rules 1.0 state:

"If time is called and neither player has achieved victory in the current game, then play continues until both players have completed one turn."

Does this mean each player gets a complete turn from start to finish? For example, say the Corp is mid-turn when time is called. Does the Corp finish his turn and then both players complete one turn? Or does the Corp finish his turn and then the Runner completes one turn? Or does it depend on whose turn it is when time is called, since the Corp plays first?

Basically… Explain this rule like I'm a 5 year old.

Current player finishes their turn. Other player gets one turn. GAME OVER MAN.

Ok so how would Going to Time rules work on each of these scenarios?

Scenario 1

Tim VS John Game 1 Won 10 - 5

Time VS John Game 2 Goes to Time. Time has only got 2 Agenda Poinsts and John has 3. They both have a round each and still no winner for this game.

What would the Prestige Point Allocation look like for this round?

Scenario 2

Tim VS Johan Game 1 goes to time. Tim has scored 5 Agenda Points and John has also got 5 Agenda Points. No further agenda points are scored during both player's extra turns.

What would the Prestige Point Allocation look like for this round?

Scenario 3

Tim VS Johan Game 1 goes to time. Tim has 3 Agenda Points and John has none. No further agenda points are scored during both player's extra turns.

What would the Prestige Point Allocation look like for this round?

Let me know thanks :)

Tim: 3 Prestige and 3 Match Points

John: 1 Prestige and 0 Match Points

Any unfinished game (like the 2nd game in your first two scenarios and the 1st in your third scenario) is worth 1 prestige for each player (no matter who is leading in agenda points); match points are agenda points. No points at all are awarded for a game that has not even started (like the 2nd game in your third scenario). Match points are then totalled normally to determine the round's winner (to allocate the 2 prestige points awarded for the match).
