Strategic planning for the revealed Cylon

By terriblybored, in Battlestar Galactica

I know the unrevealed Cylon can definitely play strategic planning to add to basestar attacks and the like, but what about the unrevealed? It seemed somehow contrary to the spirit of the game (the revealed cylon can't use the special abilities on the card, play Executive Order, etc.), but I didn't see it forbidden anywhere. As far as I know, the rule is that the revealed cylon can't take any *action* other than those on the Cylon locations, and Strategic Planning is not an action (neither is Declare Emergency for that matter, but it's pretty rare that the cylons want the humans to pass the crisis).

Rules p 20: "Revealed Cylon players may not use actions or abilities listed
on Skill Cards."

Wow, I completely missed that for some reason. Thanks.

Playing the "Strategic Planning" as an unreavelled Cylon on a Cylon Basestar makes you pretty much reavelled :D

(Like in one of my games:

- "Admiral Adama please jump the ship using the FTL!"

- "I will" - then he goes to the Command

- "Sir, it's the wrong way!"

- "I know where I'm going" - Adama replies and he sends the civis into a zone occupied but Cylon Raiders :] )

That would be the Communications location you are referring to...

Yes, right. Too many games and sometimes I get confused and say something else then I have in mind... after all we get to remember more what we see then what we read. That's what happened here :)

My favorite was when my wife was playing Apollo and I gave her an EO to attack the raiders in her space. Instead she used her once per game to move all the vipers away from the civilian ships and her second action to reveal herself. Nasty piece of work.
