Basara continual damaging foundation play deck design? (terrible thread name I know)

By vermillian2, in UFS General Discussion

I must say that my purchasing and actual play with released cards from the newest SNK set is terribly small, after its release. My friend(s) have discussed their desire to build a Basara deck that plays and then plays again those few damaging Basara foundation over and over again... Or maybe also break in to direct vitality loss cards?

Instinctive Sword Swinging, Living Shadow and Basara requires no momentum or cards in hand for opponent... can we work Demon Scourge in with other vitality losing effects? Maybe tack on some Victor foundation pick up cards? Somehow find a way to also grab chaos in there and work some of Terry or Billiard Player effects? Do we work a Void angle to focus on heavy discard (I mean I guess so... right?).

My mind has been boggling on this deck concept for a while.

Anyone have any ideas on this?

basically ive been toying with using basaras own effect to blow up a instinctive sword then getting it back with gorg team or that one lizardman card that lets u grab a card back if an attack deals damage , right now to use basara jus use all the discard his resources can use and as much card draw u can get your fingers on

If you want to work off Chaos to pick up Instinctive Sword Slinging, use both Billard Player and this little gem . Anytime an attack is played, you get to pick up Instinctive. No ifs and buts about it. The problem is - All the Basaras have the same symbols : Death, Evil and Void. They do not have Chaos at all. You have to play the Seal of Bedlam if you want him to have it.

The best core deck i have found for basara so far revolves around void:

Ways of Punishment
The glare from the Abyss
Sayko Ryu
Kung Fu Training
Evil Doer Destroyer
Unorthodox Training
Kaz Reppa

Attack with reppa - Strip hand - Redraw. From that point on you can pretty much hurt them however you want. The only thing is that 99% of the time, its more damage and better stats to play an attack than it is to do instinctive sword swinging. His built in damage capibilities is best with multiples, and living shadow is great both on offence and D, but ive yet to be able to utilize ISS. I would honestly rather run High tide.

Reppa is without a doubt a staple in Basara; it rips momentum, and lets you play Basara's abilities and the symmetric discard effects {Ways of Punishment, Familial Loyalty, etc}

I don't think it'll ever be possible to finish someone off without playing an attack, but using Void's hand destruction and just landing a decent attack string, with backup from the burn abilities {you want them to have to decide between burning and blocking as much as possible... or just burn :D }
