Cloaking Device and being "hit"

By saiharris, in X-Wing

So, cloaking device disapears if you are "hit" right.

Thats fine.

But what if you fly into an asteroid or are in range of the Seismic charge?

This was just a debate me and my friend had last night over does it destroy it since its not actually being hit by guns as such.

Thanks

We aren't Star Trek here, it's a Stealth Device.

I believe it has to be an attack, asteriod hit you don't lose it. Bombs and mines, you don't lose stealth.

Covered ad-nauseam in the Rules section, please do a search before posting.

No, asteroid hits/assault missile hits/Draw their Fire does not cause a ship to lose Stealth.

"No ship that small has a cloaking device".

Hit is defined as a very specific occurence in the rulebook. A seismic charge doesn't produce a "hit", only damage, and the card explicitly states "hit by an attack", so no on the Asteroid either.

That response seemed rather pithy. I began to write something rather long and profound about knowing all the rules but decided to let that sleeping dog lie.
