Help - questions I was called at work to answer

1) can you lower the cost of a card coming out of shadows?

2) related, the card Tyros , can that effect cars coming out of shadows?

3) faceless man, since you control characters in shadows, does the crests on your shadow cards effect him?

4) if you blank a text box with meera , then play vigilant stag, on the character, does that character gain vigilance or no?

none of these struck me as obvious, thanks in advance.

1. You can, but only by specific cards that do so. To my knowledge, Hidden Chambers is the only card that does this.

2. No. Bringing a card out of shadows is not "playing" a card, so Tyrosh won't affect it.

3. Cards in shadows are not in play, and therefore don't affect Faceless Man. He will only be affected by cards in play.

4. Gaining vigilant from vigilant stang (or banner from the storm, etc) is not part of the character's text box. In this case, it's a lasting effect granted by the event - Meera doesn't affect it at all.

Thank you! My only question is #3. It doesn't say say a character you control in play, just control. I agree with you, but that was my source of confusion. :)

Card text is not operative on cards not in play unless the text specifically says so. I know you agree, but in case you needed a reason why it was so, that's why.

to put it simply "cards you control" means "cards in play that you have control over"
