Ship/Vehicle Attachment "Modification Options"

Under the vehicle attachments, there are listings for "Modification Options". These sometimes (but not consistently) list numeric ranges from 0-x. I thought at first this was hardpoints, then wondered if it was how many mods were allowed of that type (though why 0 is even a listed consideration seems odd since that would be the minimum number of anything a ship could have…).

So at last I come here to seek the wisdom of folks who have been using these rules for months. Any insights?

If I'm not mistaken, this is the number ot times this "modification option" can ben taken.

So 0-2 means it can be taken 0 times, 1 time or 2 times.

so for instance the Advanced Targetting Array could have 0-1 additional upgrades on Gunnery plus either or both of the "innate talents" or does the 0-1 apply to any of the three options? The parenthetical numbers appear after the additional upgrades, but before either talent is listed.

I'm sure I'm overcomplicating this and I apolgize for that :(

In the case of ATA, the base modifier is one upgrade. If you do an additional upgrade it becomes two. This can only be done once. You can also modify the ATA attachment giving it either or both Innate Talent Mods. These options are explained more back in the equipment section under Customization and Modification.
