Double Typhoon.. needs an errata (functional, not power-level).

By ARMed_PIrate, in UFS Rules Q & A

I've recently been playing with T. Hawk, and it became clear that his Double Typhoon** falls under the list of "cards that are whack." Unfortunately, the search function is also whack, so I couldn't find that old thread Hatman set up.

"E: Discard X Hawk tokens from your character card. This attack gets +X damage. X equals half of the number of tokens discarded (rounded down)."

You'll notice that this ability specifies that X is both the number of Hawk tokens you discard, AND 1/2 the number of Hawk tokens you discard. This is impossible, or at least confusing (if you're okay with variable amounts changing on the fly within a single effect). There should be two variables, or, even better, a rewording. I believe it should read:

"E: Discard any number of Hawk tokens from your character card. This attack gets +X damage. X equals half of the number of tokens discarded (rounded down)."

Think you guys could think about it, maybe discuss it with James, etc.? Many thanks.

How about this:

"E Discard X Hawk tokens from your character card: This attack gets +Y damage. Y = [(X/2)-1] (rounded down)."

Because it does not, at this time, have discarding tokens as part of the cost.

This is probably the funniest thing I've read all week.

Why the -1? That's not part of the original plan at all...
