2 questions: 3p0/it's worse & jawa/heat of battle

By videinfra, in Star Wars: The Card Game - Rules Questions

1. If a player cancels threepio's interrupt with It's Worse does threepio's sacrifice get cancelled too or only the effect of threepio's cancel? You could of course use the one damage to kill Threepio too but do you have to or could you use the 1 damage elsewhere?

2. Reactions are a part of framework events. Jawa has a forced reaction where he would return to your hand if you lose the edge. But what if your opponent lays down a heat of battle? This is also within the framework event, what gets resolved first? Does the Jawa die or does he get returned to the owners hand?

1) Yes 3PO is sacrificed to pay the cost and then It's worse cancels 3PO's interrupt ability causing 3PO still to be lost.

2) A forced reaction has to happen. So in your scenerio say you have a protector keyword character out. He takes the damage from the Heat of Battle. BUT if you still lost the edge the jawa goes back to hand. As far as the tming goes, you first look at fate cards and trigger them first them count to see who loses or wins the edge.

#2 sounds good. The timing is fate cards are executed before determining who wins the edge so the Jawa dies.

Is #1 because of "x to do y"? X is the cost and y is the effect?

When a player wishes to play a card, take an action, or initiate an interrupt or reaction effect, he first declares his intent. The following steps are then observed, in order:

1) Check play restrictions: can the card be played, or the effect initiated, at this time?

2) Determine the cost (or costs, if multiple costs are required) to play the card or initiate the effect.

3) Apply any modifiers to the cost.

4) Pay the cost(s).

5) Choose target(s), if applicable.

6) The card is played, or the effect resolves.

1-3PO is in play already

2- here is the cost of sacrificing 3PO

3-no mods

4-sacrifice 3PO

5-target is whatever event

6-it is then canceled by It's Worse resulting in no event being canceled

It's Worse targets 3POs #4 (when its executed) then cancels 3PO's #6 (canceling the card it targeted)
